Job role and purpose:
Selling IT devices that we resell into the secondary market is a very important part of our value chain in 3stepIT and BNP Paribas 3stepIT (Joint Venture). It's at the heart of our sustainability message. 3stepIT and the Joint Venture are planning to grow strongly in both volume and geographic scope. To enable our planned growth there's a need to develop our current Trade sales channel and find new routes to market to make sure we recover maximum value. This will help enhance our already competitive Technology Lifecycle Management offer.
As Trade Sales Specialist you are responsible for delivering the trade sales targets, nurture and develop our trading channels. It's your responsibility to build long-term trustworthy relationships with trade partners and represent 3stepIT in different branch activities.
You will work in an international high performing team to make sure we have a perfect mix of trading partners to deliver the highest value possible for all our refurbished equipment.
The trading team works in an environment with strict instructions and rules, called the Game Book, about where and to whom we sell our equipment. This demands a high level of personal trust, ethical values and moral compass.
Main responsibilities & tasks:
Negotiate and close deals, maximizing trade prices within the risk management framework.
Keep up to date with product trends, market price and competition.
Support trading pricing based on market trends and the trading competitive landscape.
Proactively prospect and introduce new trading partners to match our returning portfolio.
Actively support and contribute to the trade route to market development.
Be up to date with relevant electronic export & E-waste regulations.
Be up to date with new product trends and manufacturer roadmaps.
Support production with customer feedback and identify value added improvements.
Create attractive sales offer bundles for trading partners (product mix A, B, C, D-grade).
Identify the most suitable trading partners for bundled offers.
Review all trading partners' offers, and evaluate which ones give us the highest financial return.
Place orders and send proforma invoices and terms & conditions of the sales.
Support, and when needed assist, our trade customer service to make sure we deliver according to agreement.
Make sure information is documented in the adequate systems.
Contribute to product valuation and deal forum requests.
Qualifications and experience:
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field, or equivalent experience in IT, business, financing or a sales-related field.
3-5 years' experience in IT hardware sales and/or B2B service.
Experience working with international customers.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Finnish.
Excellent selling, positioning and negotiation skills. Ability to utilize a solutions-oriented, systematic approach to selling and mastery of sales best practices.
Good teamwork and interpersonal skills, including the ability to lead, motivate and collaborate with the team.
Act in ways that demonstrate customer focus and satisfaction by building effective relationships with customers, identifying, meeting and exceeding customer expectations, and by treating customers with dignity and respect.
Genuine interest in developing professional relationships.
